International medical concern Baxter has bought from Polfa S.A. its section of intravenous infusion liquids division.


International medical concern Baxter has bought from Polfa S.A. its section of intravenous infusion liquids division - representatives of the both companies informed during joint press conference on Thursday in Lublin. The transaction cost was not mentioned. Baxter Poland has purchased Polfa Liquids, and newly formed part of Polfa Lublin. Baxter Poland will transfer to Lublin production of infusion liquids from its plant in Chociw which will be closed shortly.
The plant producing infusion liquids was first established in Lublin in 1995. Baxter is going to start new assembly lines. The worth of the investment is estimated to several million zloty.
Baxter is the international company with its headquarters in Chicago USA. It is a producer of medicine and medical devices. It employs 45.000 people worldwide. Its net profit last year amounted to over 10 million dollars.
